We’re switching thing over to the savory with this post. I love dessert, but I love the main dish just as much!

One of the things I love about living in Central Arkansas is the incredible local food scene. There is a lot of fantastic food to be discovered if you look and/or ask around. If you want some recommendations, I’m your guy. And if you’re looking for something unique and off the charts delicious, @501northbar will be high on the list I give you.
Jill and I were trying to figure out where we wanted to eat on our date night. I remembered seeing North Bar on Diners, Drive-Ins, and Dives, so we checked out the menu and decided to give it a try. We started with the fried brussel sprouts, which come topped with local honey and Parmesan. The first bite silenced me. The balance of salty and sweet paired perfectly with the brussels, and I would have polished off the whole order by myself. Jill got the fried pickle bacon burger, which had two types of cheese and remoulade. I don’t eat pickles on burgers, but I’d eat that burger in a heartbeat. Finally, I ordered the king fu bird sandwich, which was topped with a sweet chili sauce, provolone, grilled pineapple, and an EGG ROLL on top. Check out my first bite pic followed by the reaction pic. I went all in to get everything in one bite. The flavors complemented each other so well and the sauce had the right amount of spice. We can’t wait to go back to North Bar to try other incredible burgers and sandwiches, with brussel sprouts on the side of course!
